Hi,
Our company is having consistently random problems with Reader DC opening PDFs generated by our ERP system. The ERP system's print preview process generates a PDF file in the users temp folder and then opens the pdf with the user's pdf viewer. In our case, that is reader dc. Randomly these files will open with the document pane being blank. Closing reader dc and opening the file manually from the temp folder will cause the file to open normally. I have done many things to troubleshoot including repair install, clearing the reg, appdata folders, disabling hardware acceleration, etc. We also use pretty much all the NSA recommended security settings for reader dc so most of the unnecessary features are disabled
We have gone through several updates but that did not seem to help. Currently we are on 2015.023.20053
It also does not appear to be a timing issue. I have done procmon captures and the file is written to disk and closed before the erp software calls adobe reader to open the file. Changing the system pdf reader to chrome has 100% eliminated the problem but there is no option to email open files with the chrome pdf viewer so our users are a bit unhappy about that. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben
