PDFs won't open on Mac

New Here ,
Jun 15, 2017 Jun 15, 2017

I have a Mac with OS 10.12.5. I recently have been unable to open PDFs. I own a license to Photoshop CC 2017, and it seems that the issue started after the  purchase.

I have tried to solve the issue with this troubleshooting link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/cant-open-pdf.html, but I do not see the option I need to select in Step 3, even under "Other."

Any suggestions or permanent fixes? Thank you!

Hi JonathanArias,

Thank you for the response! I seem to have resolved the issue after posting - might have been the reinstallation of Adobe Reader.

If the problem arises again I will follow up!

can you show screenshots of what errors you get? do a "command info" on a .pdf file. maybe the "open with" is now confused as to what to open a .pdf with.

Can you open a .pdf with iphoto? just curious.
