Permission Password

I have forgotton the permission password to a document I created.  Is there a way to recreate the pdf document after you forgot the permission password?

Can you recreate by using 'save as' and rename the document without the permission password?  I would need detail instructions.

But this time do NOT do it directly in Acrobat. It's really not supposed to be used like that.

Use some other application (Word, InDesign, etc.) and only when you're done convert the file to a PDF, and then apply a security policy to it.
