Permissions Password

Downloaded my free trial of the Pro version and all of a sudden all my PDFs have permissions passwords. I never put passwords on any of them, so I don't have the password and yet it's asking me for one, what do I do?

"All of a sudden"? I think they always had these passwords, but Reader never asked for them. Only now you have Pro is it being checked. It's checked before allowing things like editing which Reader cannot do.

 

Often permission passwords are added automatically, and cannot be discovered, so files cannot be edited. This applies especially to bank statements etc.
