printing problems

There appear to be 2 methods of printing, one which works and which doesnt

The one that works is right click, print. OK as long as you want to print all the document, and dont need to "fit" or do anything else

If I need to have control over what I print, I have to go to Control P, and select the defult physical printer

For some reason I know not what it does not print, but asks to save, and the file that is produced cannot be printed. Weird

I have no idea why this started or what to do about it, it used to work okay but now does not

I did download reader a few minutes ago and it hasnt cured it

Go to the properties of the printer and look for a box that says "Print to file" and then un-tick it.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have not found such a box, in either of the 2 printers to this machine – 1 is a BW laser and the other a colour inkjet

Neither allows me to print from within a pdf file

Problem not yet solved. Note I am not really computer literate
