Problem with Acrobat Reader Windows 10

New Here ,
Jul 20, 2020 Jul 20, 2020

I recently tried downloading Acrobat free version on a brand new PC with Windows 10. It won't open. Nothing even pops up except an error message: Adobe failed to connect to DDE server.

Any way around this?

Seems absurd that downloading directly from the website gives me an installation on the most recent Windows that won't even work.

Hi Rud,

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

Please try installing the Acrobat Reader DC from this link: https://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

If you still experience an issue and receive the error " Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server", please use the troubleshooting steps suggested in the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/failed-to-connect-to-dde-server.html

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
