I have tried to upgrade my Acrobat reader  and I keep getting installation failed.

Tried today alone over 8 times with help(?) from support

Also get an error button " Uninstallation of patch product is not supported"

I am using Windows 10 and it is fully updated

Tech support was unable to help

Please help me !

Discussion successfully moved from Forum comments to Acrobat Reader

In the forum comments you wonā€˜t find specific help with Adobe products.

You should state the exact version number for your Windows system and also some basics like free disk space or memory configuration.

As for the failed install you should give the error message as that may be crucial for giving competent advice.

If I won't find an answer about the product, why did the technical support person send me here?

I have Windows 10 home 64-bit

I have 108GB free on my C drive and 74.0 on my D drive

Error message is "installation failed"

The when I look for the reason I get  " Uninstallation of patch product is not supported"

Forum comments is for comments and problems with the fora themselves. Itā€˜s not product specific help. There is an Acrobat Reader forum for Acrobat Reader related problems. That is the correct one. As you are using Acrobat Reader which is a free product, there is no support available. You found quite helpful staff friendly enough to try at least basic support.

Not really. the first tech guy said to download a free trial so that the second text guy would help me.

Now at least I know I would never buy a product from Adobe given the pretty crappy support for their products.

They should have said immediately to come to the fora as the free products are not covered by Adobe support. But sometimes an agent still tries to satisfy his client. Free means no support as stated in the conditions.

I found this, even that there is no solution given, there may be a hint on the cause: Uninstallation of the patch package is not supported
