Prompting to print

New Here ,
Sep 19, 2018 Sep 19, 2018

Every time I open a pdf file, a print window pops up prompting me to print the document.  It is annoying to have to always click the cancel / X button.  Is there any way to disable this?  Basically I just want my pdf file to open and not have to print before it displays.

Hi Igigwoi,

We're sorry for the trouble you had with Adobe Reader, are you getting the print pop-up with all the PDF files or with specific PDF file? This only happens when the PDF file is tied up with JavaScript.

Go to Edit>Preferences>JavaScript> Uncheck "Enable Acrobat JavaScript"> Click OK>Close Adobe Reader, launch it back, open the PDF file and check.

Let us know how it goes and share your observation.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
