Proximity Option is dimmed in Adobe Reader DC Version: 2020.006-20042

I am using Adobe Acobat Reader DC and have a manual to search. But the proximity option is dimmed as you see in the attachment. 

 

What am I doing wrong please?

 

Any help would be greatly apprecaited.
