Hi Katies,

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described, you are unable to send the document for comment and getting above error message.

- Would you mind sharing the workflow/steps you are doing to add the comments and to send the file? Also, please share the screenshot of the error message.

- Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file, Please try with a different PDF file and check? If, its a file specific issue please share the file with us for testing.

- Is the file password protected? If yes, please try to remove the password protection (If you have the permissions) and then try again to send the PDF for comments.

- What is the version of the Acrobat Reader you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the latest version 20.12.20048 installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates.

For more information about sharing the PDF for review please look at the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/using/starting-pdf-review.html

Regards

Amal

Hi Sarah

We are sorry to hear that. Please try to repair the installation (Win Only) from the help menu and reboot the computer once and check. Go to Help > Repair Installation.

You may also try to reset te Acrobat preferences to default as described in the help page - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

I tried this.  Then when I restrated my machine, the 4 people I have been trying to share the document with for the past 20 minutes got about 15 messages from me saying a document has been shared with them.

Meanwhile, Acrobat is STILL telling me it is unable to share the document.

Windows 11, PC.

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that.

Please confirm the version of the application you are using. To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat. Also, please collect the Adobe CC logs https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html , procmon logs https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/acromonitor.html and share them via document cloud as described here https://helpx.adobe.com/document-cloud/help/sharing-pdfs.html for more investigation.
