Reader DC 17 setup folder has older v15 msi file

I have installed Reader DC 1700920044 on one machine in order to grab the resulting .msi file from the setup folder in order to then manipulate for user installs via the Acrobat Customization Wizard DC.

I then added the relevant files via Local Update Publisher to publish the newly created update.  The machines that install this created update get v15.007.20033 installed of the v17.  Is this correct, and how do I get the latest v17 msi?  Thanks.

It looks like I found the solution.  The v17 exe does only contain the v15msi file.  Once you have that main base version installed, you then have to create a second update using the extracted v17 msp file which will bring the installed version up to v17.  This worked for me.  Thanks.

Correct me if I am wrong, but maybe I must also install the .msp file which will bring the final installed version to v17?  Can I just add the .msp to the main LUP update that installs the base, or do I have to create a second LUP update for the .msp?
