Reader DC 5 Installer doesn't install.

My apologies. I just submitted this issue incorrectly - without a title.

Using a MacBookAir, OS 10.11.6

No trouble downloading Reader DC Install, but can't install:

When I click to install a dialogue box says "Please click to close, then click retry". Only "Continue" appears on dialogue box.

If I clock "Continue", the same "retry" message appears.

If I click the red dot to close the dialogue box, a new box appears asking if I want to abort the installation.

If I say no I get the same retry request. If I say yes I'm given the request to download which works - with the same vicious circle that follows ?

What is the way out of this Catch 22 situation ?
