Hello,

We have an Abbyy Recoginiton software that makes PDF's from scanned pages. Lately we have been experiencing an issue which occurs on multiple PCs with latest Reader DC installed. If you scroll document before it is fully loaded, its page will be only partially displayed, and on scrolling it wipes out almost entire page. Zoom in/out renders the page again and it looks OK.

It seems it occurs only on high-dpi documents that come from mentioned software, because they take about 10 seconds to load. Can You please advise?

Hi Davidk59845834,

Please try the following steps and see if it works:

  • Launch Reader. Click Edit>Preferences>Page Display
  • Uncheck the options (Smooth text, Enhance thin lines, use page cache, Use local fonts and Use 2D graphics acceleration)

If it does not work, enable the features again and help us with the original and OCR'd file. You may send the link to the file through Adobe send, google drive or dropbox in a private message.

Thanks,

Supriya

Thank You!

Application is not doing OCR on this one, but disabling page cache seems to remove to problem.
