Reader DC freezing after startup

Hello

Many of our staff are experiencing an issue with Adobe Reader DC on Windows 7 Pro SP1. We are not experiencing the issue with installations of Adobe Reader DC on Windows 10.

When a PDF is launched we have discovered that Adobe Reader DC is responsive for about 5 seconds or so and will then freeze for about 20 - 30 seconds. This has been happening for several weeks now. At first, I thought it was simply a glitch but it happens every single time. I have spoken to other members of staff and they report the same. I have trawled through the forum and can see similar threads but no official solution.

Is there a fix for this, please?
