Sometimes it works, but usually I can open a document, and once I start clicking around in it, the program becomes unresponsive

I have an update.  I right clicked on acrobat icon and selected properties.  when i run it in compatability mode for windows7 service pack 3, it works.  so does that mean it's something having to do with my norton 360 product or firewall?  its a pain to run it in compatibility mode as i have to allow it to run every time i want to use the program.  thoughts/help?

Ok I see someone marked that as a correct answer, however, i don't want to have to run it in compatability mode forever.  is there another way around it?

Hi Heatherk81179039,

Have you tried uninstalling reinstalling the application?

If not, then please try once.

Use cleaner tool to uninstall the application- Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

and download it through- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Install for all versions

Let us know if that doesn't work.

Regards,

Akanchha
