Scrolling stutter problem

When I scroll (with mouse wheel or arrows), the screen stutters and looks like a barcode (see below).  Same thing if I scroll upwards.  The last few scan lines just keep repeating until the full screen is full of the repeated scan lines (or first few if scrolling upwards).  If I minimize and bring it back or switch apps and come back, it comes up correctly.  Scrolling page-wise doesn't do anything, unless I minimize and return - in which case it returns to the new page.

Running Win 8.1 Pro with the latest version of Acrobat Reader DC.  Attempted to repair, etc.  Really annoying!  Makes it pretty much impossible to use.

Can you post a screenshot of the options you have selected under Edit - Preferences - Page Display?

I tried updating drivers, and they're all up to date.
