I have two clients that search many pdf files all day everyday within Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10. By noon the search capabilities stop and they have to reset. We have uninstalled and re-installed Adobe Reader DC. We have showed them how to clear the search cache and even up the space allowed, but still have issues.
They are hardcore users of searching pdfs for part numbers for sales calls. So they need this function to work. Any ideas on how to allow them to search all day without having to close down and restart the IE sessions just to search for part numbers? Having them open in just reader doesn't seem to be an option. I've suggested this but they don't want to listen.
Hello Nicolep,
We're sorry for the delayed response and inconvenience caused. Browsers have their own functionality to view/show PDF files and the functionality cannot be changed/altered. However, viewing PDFs in Adobe Reader has its own functionality and the searching is easier in comparison to searching in a PDF on a browser.
The recommendation will be opening the PDFs in Adobe Reader and search for the part numbers. For detailed information, you can refer to Display PDF in browser Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Reader
