select text from acrobat DC

It used to be so easy to select a text in a pdf.
Now it is a disaster, I tried several suggestions nothing works.
Can somebody explain to me how I should do it?

And Adobe, this is one of the most important actions after viewing in acrobat, make it super easy!

And the cruel thing is, it was in the previous versions, so better fire that UX guy

If you can't select text easily or at all, maybe there is no text to select. Just a picture of text.

Yes, there is no text in this file. Nothing to select.
