Signature Validation Error: Scope verification failed

Hey, I was trying to validate a signature on a PDF file using Acrobat Reader, I got the error: Scope verification failed. Is there a docuemnt that shows what this error means? I found this one: https://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/11.0/errorCodeRef/index.html that has information on it but it's for a product called livecycle. Could it have the same meaning in Reader? Is there a similiar document for Reader ?
