I uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC today.
The select tool is highlighted to be utilized.
Per edit/preferences/general/basic tools; 'make select tool select images before text' is enabled.
Per Document Properties/security, Content Copying is allowed.
But i'm unable to select any text per a pdf file, which was generated from word.
However, if I select the body of a different application (ie. Outlook, OneNote, Word, etc) and THEN go back to the pdf file, I'm able to use the left mouse click, drag to highlight text, release my left finger, then right mouse click, copy text and paste it into another application. However, once I release the left mouse click, I'm no longer able to make another selection… unless I select the body of another application and go back into acrobat.
So I have this workaround, but it's very tedious.
Am I missing something to get this function to work properly?
Regards,
Aaron
