I don't like the current layout as the bar keep getting in the way of reading pdf, I have tried a number of times to Disable new Adobe reader and tick the box preferences and neither one of these works. I have even tried uninstall the software and reinstalling it a number of times not luck there.
I can't even find a copy of the older version, as I find the current one layout makes me end up wasted more time doing them.

Hi Mich36816133ldtd,

Thank you for reaching out.

When you click on the disable new Adobe Reader option under Preferences, you get a pop-up to restart the application. Do you get that option?

It would be helpful if you could share the screen recording of your workflow and what happens. We will share it with the team and get this behavior checked. Share the Acrobat Reader and OS version number.

In the meantime, try reinstalling the application using the steps suggested below:

- Remove the application and run the cleaner tool (https://adobe.ly/3QacEwq).
- Reboot the machine
- Install Adobe Acrobat Reader from the following page: https://adobe.ly/3xIMBWM.

Check if that helps.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
