Typed responses did not save. Can I recover?

I filled in typed responses to a PDF file and when I saved it to my computer, it saved the original pdf without my responses. I didn't realize it until a few days later when I opened the PDF and saw everything was gone. Is there anyway that I can recover this? It took me almost 3 hours to fill out, so I really am hoping there is an answer!
