Unable to open all embedded attachments from PDF

Hi All,

I am facing some intermittent issue with PDF embedded attachments. I have attachments with formats .docx, .pdf, .xlsx, .png.

We have code which creates this PDF with embedded attachments.

I am facing issue when I use "Adobe acrobat Reader DC (32 bit)" Version - 21.001.20155 to open PDF and access attachments.

Lets say I created 2 PDF with same 4 attachments. From one PDF, I am able to open 2 attachments only and from other PDF, I am able to open 3 attachments.

 

When I open same PDF using Mobile Acrobat Reader, I am able to open all attachments.
I used "Awesome PDF Viewer, Reader" (Chrome extension) also, and I am able to access all attachments here also.

 

 

Please reply for any suggestion/solution.

hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described you are unable to open the attachments embedded into the PDF and the application is up to date.

 

Is this a behavior with all the PDF files with attachments or specific to those created using the code?

 

Please try to reboot the computer once and see if that helps.

 

If it still doesn't work please repair the installation (Win Only) from the help menu and see if that works

 

You may also try to reset the Acrobat Preferences to default as described in the help page - https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

 

If it still doesn't work please create a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there.
