We have recently updated our Adobe Reader to the below version.

After doing this we have found urls that redirect to an xslm file wont open and display a message could not open the file.

I have had a little look online and i believe the fix is to revert back to an old version of Adobe Reader.

Is there anything else we can do to fix this issue so we dont have to revert back.

I would be very grateful if you can advise.

Thanks

You suggest it used to work. What happened before?

Is this a link to a local file, https or http URL?

This file is to a local file and this has been working fine only since we have upgraded to the latest version of adobe reader as per attached print screen. If there is no solution apart from reverting back to an old version then so be in however if i open up the PDF file in adobe acrobat pro the url works fine

FYI - if i downgrade my Adobe Reader to version 11.0.0 - XI.

I am able to open up the xlsm file from a hyperlink pointing to a location locally within a pdf file.

You're opening the file in another application (Excel). That should be possible from any version of Reader, but not within Reader itself.
