Hallo,
HI michaelam57675822,
Thank you for sharing the info.
Could you please try unchecking print to file option and see if that make any difference:
Launch Reader>open any pdf>click File>Print>select your printer from the drop down options available under Printer>Advanced>uncheck the box next to Print to File>OK

Hi michaelam57675822,
Could you please try the following steps:
1- Check for updates- launch Reader> click Help menu> select Check for Updates.
2- If that doesn't work, try to follow the steps given in the following link: Troubleshoot PDF printing in Acrobat and Reader
Do you see any error message when printing fails?
Are you able to print from other applications like MS Word?

Hello,
Many thanks for your answer.
1 - there are no updates necessary, i. e. everything is updated. I checked it.
2 - the first step and question is "Can you print this troubleshooting page?"
Answer: Yes, I can.
Your question about error message = No, there is no message at all.
It doesnt matter where this PDF comes from I cannot print any.
I have PDF's stored from years, then I received some lately from our yahoo-account as well from our web-account - I cannot print any of those PDF (only PDF's) anymore.
When I start to print it "they" force me to store it first. As I have no other possibility to carry on, I do it. Then I find it stored as PRN instead of PDF, i. e. the system changes it by itself. After that storing I get the regular window and I can see that the printer is working to print it as PDF. Just a moment before it comes to printing this PDF document the window disappear again and nothing else happens. I just see the document in front of me without any error message.
Maybe you can help better with those informations.
Thank you again.
Regards,
Michaela

Hello,
Thank you so much - it worked.
But why is it all of a sudden
And then ... it is not always the case that I have to uncheck the box next to print to file.
Do you have an answer to that as well, please.
Thank you again.
Best Regards,
Michaela
