UNABLE TO SELECT AND COPY / EXPORT ALL LINE WORK FROM A .PDF DOCMENT

I am interested in selecting all the line work, and drawing notes within a .pdf architectural document and export the data to a CAD file but when I try to select all the line work, only apportion of the line work is being selected.  I can select areas or certain features in a group and any of the features individually but not the entire portion, within a selection and or the sheet.  Using the “Select All” command will not activate all the line work.  I know that it is possible to adjust a setting, perhaps in the preferences or properties menu but do not remember how to activate all the features for selection at one time.  I am also interested in exporting the line work to be overlaid on top of another in AutoCAD and have the under-layer features remain visible through the line work. The line work, when imported into the file should be one single file that can be moved all at once.  If it is possible to import all of the line work and have the individual elements be able to be selected and modified in CAD then, I would like to learn how to use this approach also.

I don't believe there's such an option in Reader.
