I run a old PC, running under Windows XP, on an allotment site which is not connected to the internet and wish to load Acrobat Reader. Therefore I need to download a version onto my laptop at home (running under WIndows 10 with Adobe already installed) in order to transport it to the allotment site, load and install it where it is required. However, I am having difficulty identifying which version I need and how to download rather than install it. Can anyone offer a suggestion please?
Hi PeterC66,
Adobe Reader DC version is not compatible for Windows XP, you can download the previous version of Adobe Reader which was 11.0.09 which will work on Win XP.
Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5507
you can download the set up on different machine and then transfer it to the one which doesn't have the internet accessibility.

Many thanks for this. Having not been connected to the internet since it was purchased, some 9 years ago, I brought the computer home and updated it. I spent most of today on it, had to reload it 4 times, install some 51 Windows XP updates and then 91 security updates before I could finally load Adobe from the link you gave me. It is now up to date and working, though I note that Microsoft stopped support for XP in April 2014! Still, it does what we need it to do so why change?
