I try to install reader DC on a laptop under Windows 7.
When executing the installer program (readerdc_fr_ha_install.exe)
the installation fails with the message "Une version plus récente est
déjà installée" (a more recent version is already installed).
1)I removed all mentions of Adobe reader in the register base, I
removed all Adobe directories in C:\Program Files, C:\program Files (x86),
C:\Common Files.
2) I ran the cleaner programs AdobeAcroCleaner_DC2015.exe and
AdbeArCleaner_v2.exe
3)I rebooted the computer.
The installation again fails with the same message.
What can I do ?
Hi laurentt19269442,
Please run the cleaner tool again Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs, restart your system & then try to download & install it using this link Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution.
Let me know how it goes.

Aadesh

Hi Aadesh,
Thank you for your help.
I did it and the installation went much further. But it failed with the message:
A program .... could not be run... C:\...\RdrServicesUpdater.exe
I checked that the directory Adobe created in C:\Program Files (x86)
has no owner, so that its access is denied, even for an administrator
until he takes the ownership. This is probably the reason why the
installation fails. If you guess why the ownership is undefined I'm interested.
However i succeed in installing in another disk (D: instead of C:) so I can
consider the problem is solved although not in a satisfactory way.

good afternoon Aadesh, (and dear support)
I am facing the same issue and could not access the link for adobe cleaning. Could you please provide a way to clean Adobe from registry and install it again? (in fact i alredy ran the classical unistall procedure + manual deletion of entries for Adobe in harddrive).
many thanks for your help,
Corentin
