Unrecognised Object Name

So I downloaded Acrobat Reader DC to view and annotate my lecture notes in PDF form, but whenever I try to add a comment (to annotate the lecture slides) something pops up saying "Unrecognised object name" and the only way to close this popup is to click "okay", but whenever I do press okay the message pops up again and wouldn't go away !!!! I practically cannot add anything to my notes now without this thing popping up. I have re-downloaded the program several times but I still get the same problem. I have a Macbook Pro and downloaded the program on Chrome. Did I do something wrong here?
