Using Mojave and an attached display screen-Adobe DC crashes

I have Mojave 10.14.1 on a MacBook Pro with an Apple Cinema HD screen attached. Adobe DC reader (latest version) crashes when I attempt to drag a .pdf from the parent screen to the Cinema screen. Downloading a new Adobe DC reader, restarts, etc., have had no effect. No other apps have this issue.
