hello,
i have a very strange issue with a pdf form that has editable fields. When i open a pdf in Adobe Reader and scroll to a page, certain fields do not show as editable. However, when i enter the page number, i do see the fields as editable.
This is a large pdf with alot of fields. If i remove a few pages, the fields that were not showing as editable, now are.
Have tried using Nuance pdf viewer, and that shows all fields. Also, if i am using Chrome and click on the link in Chrome when i download and open in browser, i see all editable fields.
It seems as if Adobe reader can't process or render all the fields.
Please advise if any ideas, or if i need to provide more information.
thanks
Hmm. I've downloaded it, opened in Reader and I'm not able to recreate that. Works fine here although I DID notice that it takes a few seconds after scrolling before I can edit the field but that eventually clears up. I also noticed that it was created by a third party pdf creator so it may not be fully compliant (which means Reader may have issues. Third party pdf files are not necessarily supported). What version of Reader are you using?

Haven't seen this one. Is this file available online where we can look at it?

You can go here: http://inv-info.com/specialpages/highlanderfia-al
If you scroll to the last page (or click the down arrow to get to the last page), you will see the Option text fields and maybe the Date field are not editable.
If you type 47 in the page number, you will see they are editable.
thanks

Just to verify, the fields on that last page that have the issue are the 'Option' fields. It only happens if you scroll down using page down, or clicking the down button. If you enter the page number directly in the page number box, it doesn't happen.
I'm using Adobe Reader XI.
And yes, I'm using an old tool called itextsharp.

I think it's a problem with iTextSharp. Also, you'll notice that when you open the file there's a window that appears for a brief moment saying the file is corrupt and is being fixed by the application. All of that suggests that the file was not generated correctly.
I would report this issue to the iTextShare people.
