Weird Characters received when generate .pdf with Adobe Reader

I am receiving weird characters when I generate a .pdf with Adobe Reader (via Firefox). Whats odd is this only happens on the first page of the document. Any thoughts?

Adobe Reader can't generate PDF files, it can only display them. So the problem is most likely with the application (or web-site) that generates these files.
