Weird signs in Google Chrome

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

Our enterprise often makes vouchers and invoices for our clients.
But when they open the pdf document through Google Chrome, they can't read the text because it are all abstract/weird signs.

I myself have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader and the plugin is installed in Google Chrome.

Any idea how we can solve this for our clients and ourselves?

Thanks!

What can you see when you open the document in Google Chrome?

Looks like a problem of the PDF viewer in Google Chrome. It doesn't use Acrobat Reader.

Any idea which program it does use? And is that program applicable with other browsers?

It is not a separate program. It is part of Google Chrome.

How can we avoid that customers see these signs on the PDF documents we send them? Can we advise customers to download a free adobe pdf reader for instance so we are sure they open the document in the correct way? That way we could probably avoid that they use Chroome instead? Thanks for your advice

Inform the customers that they install Acrobat Reader and open the files in Acrobat Reader.

Make sure they understand that installing Reader will not change how Chrome works; they need to know how to download. Also report the issue to Google.
