Hi, new to AR, I started to type and it's fun, but when the cross cursor appears I have to type all over the place to get rid of it, how do you do it properly
Also I want to save the work done without saving in a particular place, but save brings me to make a choice which I don't need yet, thanks
Great drawing, MargieAnneJulie!
The cross shape that you drew means that you are working on the shape (frame) and can move or delete it. To be able to type, you need to be inside the shape.
You are using the Commenting tools, and an easier way is to open the Comments panel on the right and type directly into the Comment window. Try that the next time the tools are giving you grief!

Thank you Meenakshi,
I thought of making a screenshot of the cross, but I can't make screenshot of a "cursor" because it disappears, so I made a drawing as close as possible. The tool selected is the arrow, first on the left after the page number. The arrow turns into a regular cross cursor as I move down from the tool area. As soon as I click on the text box, the regular cross cursor turns into the "cross" of the drawing. Basically the "cross" of the drawing is a grabbing tool that moves around the text box and its content. I need to go back to a tool that permits
writing, but the "cross" in the drawing stays inside the tool box, eventually I can go back to typing, just by clicking all over, but what is the proper tool to switch back to typing? thanks

Now the Keep tool selected is not enabled, but the panning tool is, some must be selected, so how do I go back to the property bar and start typing? property bar stays N/A

so in the end it was double click in the text box, to get the typing cursor from the "cross", double click many times, could it be the old pad in the mac book?
