When saving a new PDF, the last saved PDF saves

In my job I have to save all documents to a PDF and upload them into the patients chart. I have never had any issue doing so. Just recently when I save a document to a PDF it will show the last saved PDF for that current document. So I have to save that wrong version, and then go in again and re-save it and "replace it". For example I saw Mr Smith this morning, now I'm seeing Mr Jones. When I go to save Mr. Jones's testing, it pulls up Mr. Smith's results. I am computer illiterate and need to have this fixed before I put the wrong patient information in the wrong chart! Help!

Please describe, step by step, how you make and save the PDF. Please be detailed, because there are lots of different ways to do this. Things like "I click a button marked Export PDF. I have to choose a folder and I choose blah blah". Remember we can't look over your shoulder.

Once I complete any testing I have to click on the setup tab and change the printer to PDF instead of the office printer. Then I click on the Print tab and the Save As window comes up where I can name the document. Once name I hit save, then the preview screen comes up of the PDF I just saved and its the previously saved PDF. This has never been an issue until 3 days ago. Now I have to repeat all those steps and the second attempt saves the right PDF once I replace it. Make sense?
