I have an annoying problem with my Acrobat Reader DC.
I am an editor of a small freebie magazine, and I create the files as PDF files, which then will be printed. Usually, the magazine contains colorful text on pictures (written as separate text layer on a .jpeg picture). I usually change these texts to white, or in the magazine's name's case, blue, either to make them easier to read (for instance white text on dark background) or for style reasons.
However, when I print these on paper using Acrobat Reader DC, the colours of the text constantly change to black or greyish black, therefore causing the text to be unreadable on paper. I tried printing as a picture, letting the printer define the colours, simulating overprinting and changed the "Keep the black" and "Keep the CMYK colours" settings. However, none of these helped, and in fact some even made the situation worse, by printing the whole page in black and white instead of printing in colour.
This doesn't seem to occur on colourful text on plain white background, but if the text is on the pictures, it always happens.
I'm getting fed up with this problem. How to solve it?.
