Why, oh why does Adobe behave like bad 2000s spam and install McAffee?

No one tries to install Adobe Reader and "discovers" that they need an antivirus program. You are pissing off your users to make a few cents like a bad spam program from 2004. STOP IT!!!

They've heard the complaint for many years but they choose to leave that as an opt-out. Just be sure to deselect the option to download McAffee when downloading.

It's probably more than a few cents, to integrate an application with one of the world's most popular free applications... I'm sure McAfee are paying Adobe handsomely for this privilege, which goes to offset the development costs of the free Reader.
