You do not have permission to open Acrobat on Mac

I have updated my Mac to OS Big Sur Version 11.6, but when I click on a pdf file a notification pops up that says "you do not have permission to open the application" I've already tried adjusting the Sharings and Permissions in Finder and made sure that I had Read/Write access as an administrator but nothing seems to be working. I would really appreciate any advice.

What exact version of Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Reader do you have (and which of those two is it)?
