Hi Spandonaro

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

Please go through the help page - https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobat/android/en/openfiles.html and see if that works for you.

Amal, thanks a lot! Unfortunately my problem is not open pdf files, but the files saved into the pdf files as attachment.

I hope that my question is now clearer...

Hi there

To open the attachement files saved with the PDF, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the PDF file that contains the attachments.
  2. Tap on the three vertical dots on the top right corner
  3. Tap on attachments and then tap on the attachment file you want to open.

Dear Amal,

thank you once more. I followed your indication, but unfortunately I don't see any "attachment" tapping on the three vertical dots. It's opened the menu you can look at in the screenshot attached (jpg file). Do you have any idea of why I don't see  the "attachment command"?

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that.

Once you open the the PDF that contains the attachment and click on the three vertical dots you get the following screen with attachment as as option as shown below:

Capture.PNG

Please try with a different PDF file with attachments and see if that works. Also, check for any missing /pending update from the Google play store and try updating the app and reboot the device once.

Dear Amal

thank you very much indeed.

After a number of tests, I arrived at the conclusion that there is a problem in opening files generated with the add-on for outlook; infact, I've now realized that I can see the attachmente option in the "normal" pdf files but not in those generated printing email in outlook: for this kind of files I don't have the attachment option also if they are in the file.

It seems reasonable to you? Is it a "bug" in the app?

With the occasion, may I profit once (really twice) more of you?

1) I'm able to connect the acrobat app with my personal onedrive but not with my business one... should it be possible?

2) If I access onedrive and tap on a file, it's not opened in the standard way... I see another "menu" (jpg attached) ... Anyway I've found the option "open in another app" and clicking on that I reach the "normal" acrobat app mode... do you know why?

Hi there

We are sorry to hear that. As described, it only happens with the PDFs generated from outlook. Would you mind sharing the steps you are doing to create the PDF from outlook?

Also, for the onedrive issue please checkout the help article https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-mobile-discussions/bug-fix-onedrive-linking-is-not-wor... and see if that works for you.

In outlook I tap on Acrobat menu then "selected message" and "create new PDF"; a pdf files is generated, with the email text and the email attachment are saved in the pdf  as attachment.

Unfortunately, after that, opening the file from an android device, the attachment are no more reachable ... as I showed to you, the option attachment doesn't appear...

PS Thanks for the link, but my app is update (vers. 21.9) so the reason of the trouble connecting business onedrive is presumably another one

I might be late for this but recently I was facing the same issue. Adobe has no option for me either. This app does the job

Hi @szilard338046007o6z,

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for writing in!

With the newer versions of the application, seeing and opening attachments within PDF files should be doable.

Would you mind sharing a screen recording of the issue for better understanding and assistance?

Some months ago I opened a ticket with Adobe and after a long chat with the technicians I was told that actually the attachments of the pdfs created with the outlook add-on were not recognized by the android APP ... and that the thing would be reported. I haven't heard anything more and I still don't see the attachments, even having updated the APP. Does anyone know anything about them?
