Compressing a file to send for signature

Hello, 

 

I am having difficulty sending a file for signatures. An error comes up stating file unable to be sent for signatures due to size. I then tried compressing the file to then send out for signatures but an error reads "unable to compress" without any further reasoning. Any suggestions will be helpful.
