There are 2 pdf files on my Adobe app that have been compressing at the same time for several days now. I can't delete them. Also, files that I had downloaded from the pdf and saved have mysteriously disappeared.
i suspect the original pdf, which was shared with me, may have been an avenue for the "sharer" to hack into the folder of saved images from her shared pdf.
what can I do to delete the endlessly compressing pdf files?

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear about your experience.
Please try the steps below and see if that works for you.
1. Force Stop and Restart the App: On your device, go to Settings > Apps > Adobe Acrobat Reader (or your Adobe app).
Tap "Force Stop", then reopen the app to check if the compressing files disappear.
2. Clear Cache (Android Only): Go to Settings > Apps > Adobe Acrobat Reader > Storage > Clear Cache.
Restart the app and check if the issue persists.
3. Sign Out and Sign Back In: Sometimes, signing out and back into your Adobe account can refresh the app's sync process and remove stuck files.
If you think a shared PDF file may have harmed your device, follow these steps:
1. Scan your device with antivirus software or a security app.
2. Do not open suspicious PDFs, and only download files from trusted sources.
3. Change your Adobe password for extra security on the Adobe Account page.
Let us know how it goes.
