Files will no longer download

After running an update, my Android tablet will no longer download .pdf files, stating that they can be harmful.  I didn't have this problem at all before.  I tried an uninstall, reinstall directly from Adobe website because Google Play Store no longer offers it as a download, so I can't restore any earlier version.  Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?  I can open Acrobat to view documents that were downloaded prior to the update.  I just can't get any new documents to download.

I have Edge set as my default browser because Google Chrome is not good, IMO, but that wasn't a problem before, so it shouldn't be now.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Hello Susie,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the delayed response and for the experience when downloading files to your phone.

With the latest update for Android, you might want to check permissions for file access or Acrobat Reader through your phone's settings.

Let me know if it helps.

Thanks,

Souvik.
