I signed up for the free trial but I was charged RM4 (1USD) immediately upon signing up. I did manage to cancel within 7 days and I wasn't charged the full amount but I wonder why the free trial is not exactly free. Am I missing something? Someone please answer me here.
That is just an authorization hold, it's common now with most online merchants when transacting with them for tbe first time for security reasons. They do it to ensure the card and your info is all valid. After a certain period of time (Usually within 7 days) they release the money back into your account.
In My banking app (Chime) those authorization charges are shown with the status *Pending* the whole time, not sure if yours does the same but I'd check the payment description and see if something similar is there
I was charged upon signing for free trial and never got refunded although I cancel free trial within time frame. How to contact them to request refund - its 62 USD charge?
