Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile/

 

From the screenshot, I understood that you had chosen Google PDF viewer as your default viewer for PDF files.

 

Would you mind clearing any default application for viewing so you get the option to choose Adobe Acrobat? 

You can reference from the steps here: Set or clear default apps - Pixel Phone Help (google.com)
