New IPad Pro. Unable to add text in split screen mode. Have to go back to full screen in order to input. When entering text it will only allow 3 lines of text. Text tab doesn't revert back to default tab after entering text. These operations are not present on my 5 year old IPad Pro.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or all the PDFs, please try with a different PDF file and check.
Would you mind sharing the version of the OS and the Acrobat App you are using? Tap on Profile > About Acrobat and try updating the app from the App store and reboot the device once.
Also, share a small video recording of the steps you are taking and the issue as it occurs for more clarity and further investigation.
