The subject line says it all I think.  I can turn on auto scroll in the desktop version, but I'm trying to find out if it is available on the IPad.

Hi @tom_7886

I hope this message finds you well, and thank you for reaching out.

Currently, the Acrobat mobile app does not offer the automatic scroll feature that is available in the Acrobat desktop version. However, you can still view and navigate your PDFs using a variety of modes designed to enhance your reading experience:

  1. Continuous Mode: This mode allows you to scroll vertically through the document without page breaks, offering a fluid reading experience.
  2. Single Page Mode: In this mode, you view one page at a time, swiping left or right to navigate between pages.
  3. Reading Mode: Optimized for a more text-focused experience, this mode adjusts the layout for easier reading.

For more details on these viewing modes, you can refer to the official guide here: Viewing PDFs in Acrobat Mobile.

Additionally, I would recommend trying Liquid Mode, a feature designed to improve readability, especially on smaller screens. With Liquid Mode, the content is reflowed and resized, allowing for continuous scrolling in a simplified, thumb-friendly format—both vertically and horizontally. This can provide a more seamless reading experience. Learn more about Liquid Mode here: Enhance Readability with Liquid Mode.

We value your feedback, and I'll make sure to pass along your request for an automatic scroll feature to our product team for future consideration.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further assistance.

Hello, @tom_7886

I understand your need for a seamless reading experience across devices. Unfortunately, as of now, the auto-scroll feature available in the desktop version of Adobe Acrobat is not supported on the iPad version see here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-reader-mobile-discussions/dollartreecompass/auto-scroll-view-in-ipad/td-p/11543226.

You can still enhance your reading experience on the iPad by using the continuous scroll mode. Here’s how you can enable it:

Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader on your iPad.
Tap the screen to bring up the menu.
Select the viewing mode icon (usually represented by a page icon).
Choose “Continuous” to enable continuous scrolling.

I hope this info is helpful to you.

Best Regard,
Ellen Hogan
