I have a PDF which was paginated. 500 pages. The page number on each sheet matched the PDF page number.

However, the the PDF now needs page 100-200 to be deleted. But the pagination of each sheet will not match the PDF page number

how can I delete pages of a PDF but ensure the page numbers match the pdf page number

Hi @krishank69713940,

Hope you are doing well. Per the description, you want to keep the page numbers intact after removing pages from the file.

When you remove pages from a PDF, the page numbers are bound to change but can be rectified.

The feature is available on the desktop and requires an Acrobat Pro DC subscription.

You can delete the pages using Acrobat Reader Mobile and then open the file on the desktop version to rectify the page numberings. You can reference the steps: Rotate, move, delete, and renumber PDF pages in Adobe Acrobat.

Hope this helps.
