Pdf not opening?

I have the latest version of Reader for android, I installed it today.  When I try to open the pdf I need it loads a page with the message that says to view the contents of the document I need a later version of the pdf viewer.  I just installed it, why won't it open?

Sorry for the delay in response.

It seems that you are trying to open the PDF online on your mobile device.

Try to download the PDF on your device.

Then open the PDF directly from the download folder.

Check if you can open it without any issue.
