Premium Subscriber Can’t Edit on IPhone

I pay for subscription theough Apple for my iPhone and it won’t let me edit text. When I select edit it selects the whole pape by putting a blue square around page with the only option is to delete. Yes the the page is PDF format. What am I doing wrong? Can someone help?

I tried restoring purchase. I got a error message. I tried managing subscription I got a error message. I tried uninstall and re-install, same issue. I can't use any of the premium features. The restore purchase options doesn't work.
