Read only error

I am using an iPad with the latest version of the adobe reader app. I am trying to fill a PDF file and I am getting a read only error message. I use this same form on my iMAC using adobe reader and it works fine. Why can I not use the adobe app on the iPad to complete the form?

Hi @Sarah370717205o6w,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience with Acrobat Reader Mobile..

Do you see the issue with specific files or with all the files?

Would you mind sharing a few pieces of information for further investigation:

1. The app version of Acrobat Reader Mobile (go to Profile-> About Acrobat);

2. The iPadOS version of your device;

3. A screen recording of the issue for better understanding;

4. A sample file to test in-house.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for getting back to me.

All the fillable pdf files on the ICBC business partners website are saying read only error; I need to fill these in for work, save them and upload them in pdf format to a web based portal.

@Sarah370717205o6w,

There are certain differences in the behavior of Acrobat for Desktop and Mobile when handling editing protected files.

Please find the screenshot below, which shows certain aspects of the PDF that are locked:

As of now, such files are only supported on the desktop. The team is working to make them available soon.
